Hilo is a voice-first AI companion app from Buffalo Studio, coming to iOS and Android. Instead of typing into a chat box, you talk out loud with expressive, fictional AI characters, each with its own face, voice and personality. People can talk about their day, think a decision through, practice what they want to say or take a short guided breathing break. More than 20 companions are in the making, and Hilo is being built to remember useful context so conversations can pick up where they left off. Hilo is designed for everyday conversation and reflection. It is not therapy or a medical service.
